ACRES BY THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, AidD
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY
TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC Hr.ARING.
WHEREAS, the following described tract of land adjoin-
ing the corporate limits of the City of Schertz, Texas and does
not exceed one (1) mile in width; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz,
Texas, is of the opinion that such territory is suitable and
desirable for municipal purposes and that it is in the best
interest of the City of Schertz, Texas and the citizens and
inhabitants thereof that said tract of land be annexed to and
made a part of said City; and
ti~IHEREAS, the City of Schertz, Texas intends to annex
said land by ordinance and in compliance with the MUNICIPAL
ANNEXATION ACT (Chapter 150 Acts of the 58th Legislature, Reg-
ular Session, 1953, as amended, codified as Article 970a,
Texas Revised Civil Statutes, at a scheduled public hearing .
. as hereinafter provided in order to furnish an opportunity
for all interested citizens :to~be heard on such,proposed annex-
ation;-NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:

That the City Council will hold a public hearing

in the Municipa 1 Building of the City of Schertz, Texas in order
to furnish all interested persons a right to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexation of-the following described
tract of land , t o-wit
FIELD NOTES FOR 160 AeRES OUT OF BEXAR AND GUADALUPE COUNTIES,
TEXAS.
BEGINNING at the most southerly corner of Lone Oak Subdivision,.
said point being on the northeast line of Bubbling Springs Road
and also being the northeast corner of a sewage treatment plant
site conveyed by Helmuth Dietz et ux to the City of Schertz
by deed dated October 4, 1962, and recorded in Vol. 351, pages 224
thru 226, of the Guadalupe County Deed Records;
Thence S 30° E at approximately 850 feet crossing Cibolo Creek
a total distance of 2,640 feet to a corner;
Thence S 60° W crossing Cibolo Creek at approximately 2,350 feet,
a total distance of 2,640 feet to a corner;
Thence N 30° W at approximately 1,200 feet crossing the Cibolo Creek-
a total distance of 2,640 feet to a corner;
Thence N 60° E at approximately 1,650 feet crossing the Cibolo Creek
a total distance of 2,640 feet to the point of .beginning and containing
160 acres more or Less.

-The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed

week in a newspaper having a general circulation in the City
of Schertz, Texas and in the territory proposed to be annexed
not more than twenty (2 0) days nor less than ten (10} days
prior to the date of such public hearing.

P.N1. , the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, con-
vened at a regular meeting at the regular meeting place in
the Municipal Building in the City of Schertz, Texas, pursuant
to due call and notice to all of the members of said City
Council, which meeting was..at~.all times open to the public,
and at which meeting the following members were present, to-wit:

There being a quorum present, the meeting was called
to order by the Mayor, and, among other proceedings had were
the following ;
.The Mayor introduced the hereinafter set forth ord-
inance, which has been read and considered at the last regular
meeting of the City Council on the 21st day of May, 197+. It
was determined that the City Secretary had caused a short
synopsis of said proposed ordinance to be published in the
official City• newspaper after its consideration ~at the last
regular meeting of the City Council and prior to this meeting.
" Whereupon said ordinance was discussed and further
considered by the. Council.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilman
and .seconded by Councilman
that said ordinance be finally passed and
adopted. -The Mayor put the motion to a vote of the members
of the City Council and the ordinance was finally passed and
adopted b.y the following vote:
The Mayor declared the ordinance finally passed and
'adopted; and said ordinance as passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Schertz is as follows:
