SECRETARY TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC

WHEREAS, the following described tracts of land ad-
joining the corporate limits of the City of Schertz, Texas and
does not exceed one (1) mile in width; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz,
Texas is of the opinion that such territory is suitable and de-
sirable for municipal purposes and that it is in the best inter-
est of the City of Schertz, Texas and the citizens and inhabitants
thereof that said tracts of land be annexed to and made a part of
said City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz, Texas intends to annex
said land by ordinance and in compliance with the MUNICIPAL
ANNEXATION ACT (Chapter 160 Acts of the 58th Legislature, Reg-
ular Session, 1963, as amended), codified as Article 970a, Texas
Revised Civil Statutes, at a scheduled public hearing as herein-
after provided in order to furnish an opportunity for all inter-
ested citizens to be heard on such proposed annexation; NOW,
THEREFORE ,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:

That the City Council will hold a public hearing on
the ~ ~ day of 1974 at 7:00 o'clock P.M.
in the Municipal Building of the City of Schertz, Texas in order
to furnish all interested persons a right to appear and be heard
on the proposed annexation of the following described tracts of
land, to-wit:

BEGINNING at the point of intersection•of the north line of the t~1-K-T Railroad
right-of-way and the northeast line of F.t~1. Road 1337;
Thence with the north line of the M-K-T Railroad north 54 degrees 13' E
3,710.f9 feet to the PC of a c~rrve to the right, said cr;rve having an
intersec~cion angle of 12 degrees 27' 40" and a radius o~F 1,452.62 feet;
Thence with said curve eo the right 315.93 feet to the t'1' of said curve;
Thence continuing ><vith the north lino of .the M-K-T Railroad

corner of the herein described trac%; said point also being a point on the

The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once a
week in a newspaper having a general circulation in the City
of Schertz, Texas and in the territory proposed to be annexed
not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days
prior to the date of such public hearing.

On this the 3rd day of September, 1974, at 7:00 o'clock
PM., the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, convened at
a regular meeting at the regular meeting place in the Municipal
Building in the City of Schertz, Texas, pursuant to due call and
notice to all of the members of said City Council, which meeting
was at all times open to the public, and at which meeting the
following members were present, to-wit:

MRS. NELL G. FUNK ALDERWOMAN
DONALD J. SEEBA ALDERMAN
TOM KOOLE ALDERMAN
ROBERT E. SCHWARTZ ALDERMAN
MRS. BOBBIE L. KOCH ALDERWOMAN

MRS. JUNE G. KRA~:~SE CITY SECRETARY
DENNY L. ARNOLD CITY MANAGER
There being a quorum present, the meeting was called
to order by the Mayor, and, among other proceedings had were
the following:
The Mayor introduced the hereinafter set forth ordin-
ance, which has been read and considered at the last _
meeting of the City Council on the 27th day of August, 1974. It
was determined that the City Secretary had caused a short synopsis
of said proposed ordinance to be published in the official City
newspaper after its consideration at the last regular meeting of
the City Council and prior to this meeting.
Whereupon said ordinance was discussed and further
considered by the Council.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilmember
and seconded by Councilmember that said ordinance
be finally passed and adopted. The Mayor put the motion to a vote
of the members of the City Council and the ordinance was finally
passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: All Councilmembers present voted "AYE"
