AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE BOUNDARY
LINES OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS BY THE
ANNEXATION OF ONE (1) CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND
CONTAINING 85.474 ACRES OUT OF C~RoE~T,
COUNTY, TEXAS .

WHEREAS, the hereinafter described tract of land
adjoins the corporate limits of the City of Schertz, Texas
and does not exceed one (1) mile in width; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the question of whether
said land should be annexed to and become a part of the City
of Schertz, Texas was duly called and notice thereof given and
said public hearing has been had, all in accordance with law;
and
WHEREAS, by the passage of this ordinance annexation
of said territory will have been brought to completion within
ninety (901 days of the institution of annexation proceedings;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz,
Texas is of the opinion and finds that such territory is suit-
able for municipal purposes and that it is in the best interest
of the City of Schertz, Texas and the citizens and inhabitants
thereof that said territory be annexed to and made a part of
said city; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
I
That the following described territory containing.
85.474 acres of land lying adjacent to and adjoining the City
of Schertz, Texas be, and the same is hereby added and an-
nexed to the City of Schertz, Texas and said territory shall
hereinafter be included within the boundary limits of said
City and the various points contiguous to the area described
are hereby altered and amended ao as to include said land and
territory within the corporate limits of the City of Schertz,
Texas; said land being more particularly described by metes
and bounds as follows:

That the territory so described and the areas so
annexed shall hereafter be a part of the City of Schertz,
Texas and all taxable property situated therein shall here-
after bear its pro rata part of the taxes levied by the City
of Schertz, Texas and the inhabitants thereof shall be en-
titled to all of the rights and privileges of all the citi-
zens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions,
and regulations of the City of Schertz, Texas.
III
That the boundary limits of the City of Schertz,
Texas are hereby re-defined so as to include the above de=
scribed tract of land and from and after this date shall
be defined and described as follows, to-wit:

BEGINNING At a concrete monument at the intersection of the West line of Schwab
Road .and the north line of I.H. 35;
Thence with the north line of I.H. 35, S 57 degrees 21' 09" W 106.59 feet to a
concrete monument;
Thence continuing with the north line of I.H. 35 S 51 degrees 07' 55" W
232.21 feet to a point;
Thence N 33 degrees 02' 58" W 2,259.10 feet to a corner;
Thence S 66 degrees 41' 00" W 3,881.53 feet to a corner; said corner being a corner
of the existing Schertz City Limit line;
Thence with the existing Schertz City Limit line N 23 degrees 19' 00" W 500.00 feet to
a point on the north right-of-way line of the M-K-T, Railroad;
Thence with the north line of the M-K-T Railroad right-of-way N 66 degrees 41' 00" E
2,500.00 feet to the Point of Curve of a curve to the left; said curve having a
radius of 6,389.28 feet;
Thence with said curve to the left 7,783.73 feet to the point of intersection of said
north right-of-way line and the west line of Schwab Road extended;
Thence with the west line of S chwab Road as follows:
S 33 degrees 02' 58" E '1,204.53 feet;
N 60 degrees 05' 25" E 332.14 feet;
N 81 degrees 12' 11" E 32.91 feet;
S 59 degrees 40` 05" E .35.60 feet;
S 37 degrees 39' 25" E 242.28 feet;
S 13 degrees 54' S6" E 1,079.87 feet;
S 14 degrees 14' 48" W 49.12 feet;
S 13 degrees 58' S5" E 290.64 feet;
and S 13 degrees 17' 00" E .1.02.93 feet to the point of beginning and containing
85.414 acres more or less.
