AN ORDINANCE
SETTING A TIME, DATE AND PLACE FORA PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF ONE
CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 266.035_
ACRES OUT OF GUADALUPE COUNTY, TEXAS BY
THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO PUBLISH
NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the following described tract of land adjoining
the corporate limits of the City of Schertz, Texas and does not exceed
one (1) mile in width; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas
is of the opinion that such territory is suitable and desirable for
municipal purposes and that it is in the best interest of the City
of Schertz, Texas and the citizens and inhabitants thereof that said
tract of land be annexed to and. made a part of said City; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz, Texas intends to annex said
land by ordinance and in compliance with the MUNICIPAL ANNEXATION
ACT (Chapter 160 ACTS of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963,
as amended), codified as Article 970a, Texas Revised Civil Statutes,
at a scheduled public hearing as hereinafter provided in order to
furnish an opportunity for all interested citizens to be heard on such
proposed annexation; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:

That the City Council will hold a public hearing on the

P.M. in the Municipal Bui ing of the City of Schertz, Texas in order
to furnish all interested persons a right to appear and be heard on
the proposed annexation of the following described tracts of land,
to-wit:

The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
to cause notice of such public hearing to be published one
time in a newspaper having a general circulation in the
City of Schertz, Texas and in the territory proposed to be
annexed not more than twenty (20) days nor less than BEN
(10) days prior to the date of such public hearing.

said corner also being in the approximate north iine of Live Oak Hills Subdivision;
Thence with the approximate north line of Live Oak Hills Subdivision S 60 degrees 02' 00" W
3,236.92 feet to corner;
Thence with the east line of the Eugene Moore 84.6 acre tract N 30 degrees 20' 00" W
1,606.04 feet to a point on the south line of Interstate Hwy. 35, said point also

On this, the 20th day of May, 1975, at 7:00 o'clock P.M.,
the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, convened at a
regular meeting at the regular meeting place in the Municipal
Building in the City of Schertz, Texas,pursuant to due call and
notice to all of the members of said City Council, which meeting
was at all times open to the public, and at which meeting the
following members were present; to-wit:
ROBERT G. BUSKER MAYOR
NELL G. FUNK ALDERWOMAN
DONALD . SEEBA ALDERMAN
ED L. SHARPS ALDERMAN
GAILY HYATT ALDERWOMAN
AND
JUNE G. KRAUSE CITY SECRETARY
DENNY L. ARNOLD CITY MANAGER
and the following members absent, to-wit: WALTER F. SCHNEIDER.
There being a quorum present, the meeting was called to order by
the Mayor, and, among other proceedings had were the following:
The Mayor introduced the hereinafter set forth ordinance,
which has been read and considered at the last regular meeting of
the City Council on the 6th day of May, 1975.
Whereupon said ordinance was discussed and further considered
Thy the Council.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilmember
and seconded by Councilmember ~ _ that said
ordinance be finally passed and adopted. The Mayor put the motion
to a vote of the members of the City Council and the ordinance was
finally passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: A11 members present voted "AYE".
NAYS: None
