75A24-Setting date/time for Annexation of 64.771 acres-Cancelled ORDINANCE N0. AN ORDINANCE SETTING A TIME, DATE AND PLACE fOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF TWO CERTAIN TRACTS OR PARCELS OF LAND CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 34.767 ACRES AND 64.771 ACRES RESPECTIVELY OUT OF COMAL COUNTY; AUTHORIZING AND'DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO PUBLISH NOTI£E OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the following described tracts of land adjoin the corporate limits of the City of Schertz, Texas and do not exceed one (1) mile in width; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas is of the opinion that such territory is suitable and desirable for municipal pur- poses and that it is in the best interest of the City of Schertz, Texas and the citizens and inhabitants thereof that said tract of land be annexed to and made a part of said City; and,. WHEREAS, the City of Schertz, Texas intends to annex said land by ordinance and in compliance with the MUNICIPAL ANNEXATION ACT (Chapter 160 ACTS of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963, as amended) codified as Article 97Da, Texas Revised Civil Statutes, at a scheduled public hearing as hereinafter provided in order to furnish an opportunity for all interested citizens to be heard on such proposed annexation; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS: I That the City Council will hold a public hearing on the day of 1975 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the Municipal Building of the City of Schertz, Texas in order to furnish all interested persons a right to appear and be heard on the proposed annex- ation of the following described tracts of land, to-wit: II The City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published. one time in a news- paper having a general. circulation in the City of Schertz, Texas, and in the territory proposed to be_annexed not more than twenty (20) days FIELD .NOTES FOR 64.771 ACRES OUT OF COMAL COUNTY, TEXAS.
