CITY OF SCHERTZ ~
On this, the 16th day of September, 1975, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. the
City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, convened at a regular meeting
at the regular meeting place in the Municipal Building of said City in
the City of Schertz,Texas, which meeting was at all times open to the
public, and at which meeting the following members were present, to-wit:

There being a quorum present, the meeting was called to order by the
Mayor; and, among other proceedings had were the following:
The Mayor introduced the following captioned ordinance which was read
in full by the City Manager. Councilmember
moved that said ordinance be considered by the Council as an emergency mea-
sure, which motion was seconded by Couneilmember ,
Whereupon said motion was fully discussed and considered. The Mayor put the
motion to consider said ordinance as an emergency measure to the members of
the City Council and said motion was approved and adopted by the following
vote:
AYES; Mrs. Funk, Mr. Sharpe and Mrs. Hyatt.
NAYS: Mr. Schneider
The Mayor then introduced the hereinafiter set forth
ordinance as an emergency measure. Thereupon it was moved by Council=
member and seconded by Councilmember

passed and adopted. The Mayor put the motion to a vote of the members'
of the City Council and the ordinance was finally passed and adopted by
the following vote:
AYES.; Mrs. Funk, Mr. Sharpe and Mrs. Hyatt.

ORDINANCE N0. ~S
AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE BOUNDARY
LINES OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS BY THE
ANNEXATION OF A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND CON-
TAINING 34.767 ACRES OUT OF COMAL COUNTY,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the hereinafter described tract of land adjoins the
corporate limits of the City of Schertz, Texas and does not exceed one (1)
mile in width; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the question of whether said
land should. be annexed to and become a part of the City of Schertz, Texas
was duly called and notice-thereof given and said public hearing has been
had, all in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, by the passage of this ordinance annexation of said
territory will have been brought to completion within ninety (90) days of
the institution of annexation proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas is
of the opinion and finds that such territory is suitable for minucipal pur-
poses and that it is in the best interest of the City of Schertz, Texas and
the citizens and inhabitants thereof that said territory be annexed to and
made a part of said City; NOW, THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
I
That the following described territory containing 34.767
acres of land lying adjacent to and adjoining the City of Schertz, Texas
be, and the same is hereby added and annexed to the City of Schertz, Texas,
and said territory shall hereinafter be included within the boundary limits
of said City and the various points contiguous to the area described are
hereby altered and amended so as to include said land and territory within
the corporate limits of the City of Schertz, Texas; said land being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:

That the territory so described and the areas so annexed
shall hereafter be a part of the City of Schertz, Texas and all taxable
property situated therein shall hereafter bear its pro rata part of the
taxes levied by the City of Schertz, Texas and the inhabitants thereof
shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges of all the citizens
and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances, resolutions and regulations
of the City of Schertz, Texas.
III
That the boundary limits of the Gity of Schertz, Texas
are hereby re-defined. so as to include the above described tracts of
land and from and after this date shall be defined and described as
follows, to-wit:

The public importance of this measure constitutes and
creates an urgent public necessity requiring-that this ordinance be
passed and take effect as an emergency measure, and shall, take effect
and be in force immediately upon and after its passage.

and the .east cut-bff of F.M. 1103, thence with the north line of I.H. 35 as
fellows:
N 59 degrees 45' E 367.3 feet;
N , 65 degrees 07' E 1,004.4 feet;
N 59 degrees 45' E 1,907.4 feet to the point of beginning of the herein
described tract;
Thence N 24 degrees i7' 30" W 3,059.25 feet to a point bn the existing City Limit
line of Schertz, Texas;
Thence wi h said City Limit line N 66 degrees 41' E 500.07 feet;
Thence S 24 degrees 17' 30" E 2,998.56 feet to a point on the north line of
Interstate ..Hwy. 35;
Thence with the North line of I.H. 35, S 59 degrees 45' W 502:72 feet to'the point
of beginning and containing .34.767 acres more or less..
