AN ORDINANCE
SETTING A TIME, DATE.-AND. PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF ONE CERTAIN TRACT OF
LAND CONTAINING 13.20 ACRES OUT OF GUADALUPE COUNTY
BY THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,-AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF
SUCH PUBLIC HEARING
WHEREAS, the following described tract of land adjoining the
corporate limits of the City. of Schertz, Texas, and does-not exceed one
(1) mile in width; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of-the City of Schertz, Texas is of the
opinion that such territory is suitable and desirable for municipal purposes
and-that it is in the best interest of the City of Schertz, Texas and the
citizens and inhabitants thereof that said tract of land be annexed to and
made a part of said City; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz, Texas intends to annex said land by
ordinance and in compliance with the MUNICIPAL. ANNEXATION ACT (Chapter 160
ACTS of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963, as amended), codified
as Article 970a, Texas Revised Civil Statutes, at a scheduled public hearing
as hereinafter provided in order to furnish an opportunity for all interested
citizens to be-heard on such proposed annexation; NOW'THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:

That the City Council wi11 hold a public hearing on the __o~
day of _ 1975 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the Municipal
Building of th City of Schertz, Texas in order to furnish all interested
persons a right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation of the
.following described tract of land, to-wit:
BEGINNING at an iron pin set S 28 degrees 50' E 200 feet from the
Southern line of F. M. 78 in the Southwesterly line of the Ewald
Pfeil Subdivision No. 2;
THENCE S 61 degrees 09' W 520 feet to the point of beginning;
THENCE in a southwesterly direction in a straight line along the
south city limits of the City of Schertz to a point being the inter-
section point of the northeast boundry line of Mill Street and the
southeast boundry line of Lee Street, approximately 1,150 feet;
THENCE S 30 degrees E 500 feet to a point;
THENCE N 62 degrees E approximately 1,150 feet to a point in the
existing city limits;
THENCE N 28 degrees 51' l~ approximately 500 feet to the point of be-
ginning and containing 13.20 acres.

The City `Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause
notice of such public hearing. to be published one time in a newspaper
having a general circulation in the City of Schertz, Texas, and in the
territory proposed to be annexed not more than twenty (20) days nor
less than ten ('10) days prior to the date of such public hearing.

On this, the 2nd day of September, 1975, at 7:00 o'clock P.M.
the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, convened at a regular meet-
ing at the regular meeting place in the Municipal Building in the City of
Schertz, Texas, pursuant to due call and notice to all of the members of said
City Council, which meeting was at all times open to the public, and at
which meeting the following members were present, to-wit:
ROBERT C. BUEKER MAYOR
NELL G. FUNK ALDERWOMAN
DONALD J. SEEBA ALDERMAN
WALTER F. SCHNEIDER ALDERMAN
ED L. SHARPE ALDERMAN
GAIL HYATT ALDERWOMAN
AND
DENNY L. ARNOLD CITY MANAGER
JUNE G. KRAUSE CITY SECRETARY
There being a quorum presnet, the meeting was called to order
by the Mayor, and, among other proceedings had were the following:
The Mayor introduced the hereinafter set forth ordinance,
which has been read and considered at the last regular meeting of the City
Council on the 19th day of August, 1975. It was determined that the City
Secretary .:had caused a short synopsis of said proposed ordinance to be
published in the official City newspaper after its consideration at the last
regular meeting of the City Council and prior to this meeting.
Whereupon said ordinance was discussed and further considered
by the Council.

that said ordinance be finally passed and adopted. The Mayor put the motion
to a vote of the members of the City Council and the ordinance was finally
passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Mrs. Funk, Mr. Seeba, Mr. Schneider, Per. Sharpe and Mrs. Hyatt.
