ORDINANCE N0. ~ ~ AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 88-A-15, SECTION I TO CORRECT THE' METES AND BOUNDS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the legal description of the 3.98 acres tract of land described in ordinance 88-A-15 is incorrect; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXASo SECTION A THAT Section I be corrected to read as follows "THAT the following described territory containing approximately 3.98 acres of land lying within the City of Schertz, Texas, be, and the same is hereby removed from the City of Schertz, Texas; and said territory shall hereinafter be excluded from-the boundary limits of said city and the various points contiguous to the area described are hereby altered and amended so as to exclude said land and territory from the corporate limits of the City of Schertz, Texas; said land being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection point of the City of Schertz, Texas city limits line as defined by Ordinance 81-A-12 and the northern boundary line of Northcliffe Country Club Estates Section Two as recorded in Volume 5, page 170 of the Comal County Deed and Plat Records, said point also lying South 66 degrees 52' 04" East, a distance of 19.11 feet from the intersection of the northern boundary of said subdivision and the west right-of-way of Country Club Boulevard, said point also being located 900 feet in a southeasterly direction from the centerline of IH-35; THENCE, with the Schertz city limits line South 59 degrees 45' 00" West, a distance of 1,723.95 feet, to the intersection with the west boundary line of said subdivision; THENCE, with the boundary line of said subdivision North 23 degrees 07° 56" West, a distance of 77.75 feet, North 21 degrees 52° 04" East, a distance of 192.14 feet, North 66 degrees 52' 04" East, a distance of 1,574.80 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 3.98 acres of land (173,481 square feet). SECTION B THAT the public importance of this measure constitutes and creates an urgent public necessity requiring that this ordinance be passed and take effect as an emergency measure, and shall take effect and be in force immediately upon and after its passage.
