01-08-1969 The planning commission met in session on Vdednesday
evening January 1969. Mr. baron beck, criairman called the
meeting to order at $:00 p. mp
T~Ir. i~iock met Frith the commission to explain some of the
duties and responsibilities of the commission. He stated we
had three primary ones, which are;
1. City improvements (advise city council)
2. Kdministratian of zoning ordnance
3. administration of subdivision ordinance.
~Yr. Y1Tock explained the subdivision ordinance V:=hieh deals
4aitY: zoning property in the city. He explained that the zoning
map and zoning pamphlet must ~e ccnforrnedi tc. It is specified
in the p~:~mphlet how the orda~r?ance may be amended.
Discusicn then centered around a proposed rest r~ome near
Vuestland Park subdivision on tYie extension of Gak street.
Nloticr~ moved. by ter. Rhea seconded by Johnny V~~ise to write
tYle property owners of seven houses on the west end of Pecan St.
and inform them of an opener meeting for January 22, $:00 p.m.
at the fire station. Lotion carried.
