02-23-1972 MIN~ITES OF THE MEETING ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION Feb~auary 23, 1972 .Meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chaixman, Weldon Willbanks. Members present included Mr. Richard Mansfield, Mr. Johnny Wise and Mr. Hugh Sandifer. Guests present included Mr. Malford Koch, Mr. Malford Brehm, Mr. John Hendry and City Secretary Mr. Robert Bucker, Motion was made by Mr. Mansfield, seconded by Mr. Wise and approved unanimously to disallow a side lot variance in Greenfield and Val Verde subdivisions as submitted by letter dated February 8, 1972. Discussion was held on zoning and development of commercial ..lands along Live Oak Road and Aero Ave. Mefion was made by Mr. Mansfield that the following zoning be considered: Part I Commercial "C-1" Zoning Beginning at the intersection of the west side of Live Oak Road and the north side of Curtiss Ave., zoning be applied to a depth of 200' to a point north on Live Oak Road where the north property line of the Elsie Koch property intersects; Thence along the west side of hive Oak Road to include Lot 13, Block 2 of the Village Subdivision, Lot 5, Block 5 of The Village: Subdivision, Lot 23, Block 7 of the Village Subdivision to a point where the.:s©uth ROW line of the Lv-Nate Gathering Co._pipeline property intersects Live Oak Road; Thence from a point where the south. ROW line of the Val Verde subdivision intersects Line Oak Road to the south ROW line of Pecan Ave. to a depth of :..255.04'; Thence from a point 597.50' distant from the north ROW line of Pecan Ave. and the intersection of Live Oak Road north to the north ROW line of the Kramer tract, a depth of 200'. Part II Commercial "C-1" Zoning Beginning on the east side of Live Oak Road where the north line of the Alvin Cox property intersects Live Oak Road; Thence north along Live Oak Road to the south ROW line of the GVEC property line a depth of 200'; Thence-from the intersection of Curtiss Ave. and Live Oak Road north along Live Oak Road to the south ROW line of the City of Schertz property a depth of 200'; Thence from the north ROW line of the Catholic Church property .and the intersection of Live Oak Road north to the north ROW lint of the Glenn Veazgey tract a depth of 200'. Motion for zoning as indicated was stcondtd by Mr. Sandifer and vote was unanimous. Discussion was held on the Land Use of R-4 property Hy the Scouting Assn., the land in question beiag'located on the intersection of Randolph and Exchange Aves. in the northeast quadrant. Thert *as unanimous agrtement.~that Section 17 c-12 of the Zoning Ordinance by applied in this case calling for special use action by tht City Council.
