Minutes of the Planning and Zoning Meeting December 26, 1973•
1. Members Present:
Johnnie Wise - Chairman
Dick Howe
Chuck Sharp ,
Dick Chambless
Roe Yochum
Don Seeba
Earl Sawyer - Secretary
2. This meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission was held
at the recommendation of the Mayor, because Planning and
Zoning did not place a notice in the newspaper of the meet-
ix~.gs cancellation.
3. An Agenda was received with no items for action.
4. After lengthy discussion on this non item agenda, the commis-
sion feels that this notice should not have been mailed to
the members, thereby, saving the City the cost of mailing.
5. The Commission also pointed out, that it should be the City
staffs job to see that proper, notices are placed in appro-
priate newspapers, not the commissions.
6. The Commission hereby requests that the new Zoning Ordinance
be given a Class "A" priority, and that work on the ordinance
be completed as soon as possible.
7. Two council members attended this meeting, Mrs. Funk, and
Mr. Schwartz. Their interest in the commissions work is
greatly appreciated.
