2. CALL TO ORDER: '
The Meeting was called to order by Chairman Wise at 7:30 P.M.
3. READING OF MINUTES:
The Planning & Zoning Commission minutes of the meeting of May 26, 1976 were
read and approved.
4. "TURNKEY" ELDERLY HOUSING PROJECT: ~ ~
Mr. Ralph Bender and his architect presented to the Planning & Zoning Commission
a site concept of the proposed elderly housing project on Live Oak Road.
Based on the site plan presentation, Mr. Ray Stanhope made a motion that
before any formal action be taken by the P&Z Commission that a preliminary
plat conference be held between the builder and City staff in order to work
out details for a formal filing of a subdivision plat. Mr. Earl Sawyer
seconded the motion which carried unanimously.
In conjunction with this proposed project, the P&Z Commission expressed
concern on drainage of the area. What impact will development have in this
area? Will the present storm sewer have the capabilities to accept all
future runoff. The P&Z Commission expressed that now is the time to plan
ahead in order to provide adequate drainage. ,
The P&Z Commission requested the City Manager to inform the local Housing
` Authority Baord members of necessary communication between the City and
the local Housing Authority.
5. Municipal Complex
The Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously that there exists
a need fora Municipal Complex. At the next regular meeting, the P&Z
will recommend a possible site location for the Municipal Complex.
