09-18-1978 ZONING BQARD OF ADJUS~]TS MINUTES
The Planning and Zoning Board of Adjustment of the City of Schertz
convened, Monday, September 18, 1978, at 7:00 p.m., in the Municipal
C~lex Conference Room, 1400 Live Oak Road. The following members
were present:

#1 CALL 'I+0 ORDER
The Zoning Board of Adjustments was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
#2 READING AND APPROVAL OF NICNUI'ES
The minutes of the 17-July 1978, meeting were distributed in lieu
of erroneous minutes which had been forwarded to board members by mail.
Since these minutes were lengthy and Mr. Tilghman was the only board
member present who attended the 17 July meeting, it was decided to
table them until the next meeting.
#3 INTRODUCTION OF NEW MENDER
Mr. Hill was present to introduce Mrs. Virginia Grassmeyer, a new
member of the board, who was appointed by Mayor Bueker to replace
Mr. Jeffrey D. Duffield who resigned as chairman of the board for
.business reasons.
#4 ELECTIONS
Nlr. Walter Hill entertained a motion for the board to elect a new
chairman and also a Vice-Chairman. Mrs. Grassmeyer nominated Mr.
Richard McAleese as Chairman and Mr. Allen H. Hamblin as Vice-Chairman.
Motion was seconded by Mr. Tilghman followed by a brief discussion.
Mr. McAlesse and Mr. Hamblin were elected unanimously.
#5 STAFF BRZEFTNG
Mr. Hill briefed the board on two cases which would possibly be caning
before it in the near future. Specific documentation regarding these
cases was not given to board members at this time.
