AN ORDINANCE
BY TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS, AMENDING CITY OF SCHERTZ
ORDINANCE NO. 96-T-27, REFLECTING
THE CHANGE OF NAME FROM
SECURITY CA~TAL ffiDUSTIDAL
TRUST TO PROLOGlS TRUST; AND
ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the ownership of Security Capital Investment Trust, has
determined that it is in its best interest to change its name from Security
Capital Investment Trust to ProLogis Trust; and,
WHEREAS, ownership of the now named ProLogis Trust has not
changed; and,
WHEREAS, in order to maintain accurate records for taxes and other
purposes, City of Schertz Ordinance NO. 96-T-27 shall be amended to reflect
the change of name in all references from Security Capital Investment Trust, to
ProLogis Trust; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
I
THAT, the name Security Capital Investment Trust, is changed from
Security Capital Investment Trust, to the ProLogis Trust on all ordinances,
records, and references, of and in the City of Schertz; and,
II
THAT, this ordinance shall be appended to City of Schertz Ordinance No.
96-T-27 for administrative clarity and continuity, and
III
THAT the provisions of this ordinance shall be in force and effective from
the date of final approval.

Attached is an ordinance amending other ordinances to record the change of
name of the Security Capital Industrial Trust to ProLogis Trust.
We believe such an ordinance is necessary to amend and record the change of
name for tax abatement, water records, and other similar documents.
Distribution will be made to all affected departments.
