AN ORDINANCE
PROVIDING FOR A SALARY TO MEMBERS OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS
SECTION 1 - The following amounts shall be paid to
the Mayor and Councilpersons of the City of Schertz,
Texas as compensation for services rendered at Regular
and/or Special Council meetinss as provided for in
Article IV - Section 4.09 of the Charter of the City
of Schertz, Texas.
SECTION 2 - Compensation for Attendance - Mayor:
The Mayor of the City of Schertz, Texas shall re-
ceive the sum of $6.00 for each regular Council
meeting of which he presides over. The amount to be
paid to the same person for attendance 0f a Special
Council meeting shall be $10.00
SECTION 3 - Payments for Attendance - Councilpersons:
Members of the City Council of the City of Schertz,
Texas, shall be paid a sum of $3.00 per person
for each Regular Council meeting attended. Same
persons shall be paid a sum of $5.00 per person
fur each Special Council meeting attended.
SECTION 4 - Method of Payment: The Mayor and each
Councilperson Of the City of Schertz, Texas shall be
remunerated on a monthly basis for their meeting
attendance in any given month in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 5 - All ordinances or resolutions of the
City of Schertz, Texas providing for salary or
compensation to the Mayor and Councilpersons of
the City of Schertz, Texas insofar as they conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.

On this, the lst day of October, 1974, at 7:00 o'clock
P.M., the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, convened
at a regular meeting at the regular meeting place in the Muni-
cipal Building in the City of Schertz, Texas, pursuant to due
call and notice to all of the members of said City Council, which
meeting was at all times open to the public, and at which meeting
the following members were present, to-wit:

There being a quorum present, the meeting was called
to order by the Mayor, and, among other proceedings had were
the following:
The Mayor introduced the hereinafter set forth ordin-
ance, which has been read and considered at the last regular
meeting of the City Council on the l7th day of September, 1974,
It was determined that the City Secretary had caused a short
synopsis of said proposed ordinance to be published in the offi-
cial City newspaper after its consideration at the last regular
meeting of the City Council and prior to this meeting.
Whereupon said ordinance was discussed and further
considered by the Council.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilmember
and seconded by Councilmember ~~ /

that said
ordinance be finally passed and adopted. The Mayor put the
motion to a vote of the members of the City Council and the ord-
inance was finally passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: All Councilmembers present voted "AYE".
NAYS: None
