BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS
APPOINTING A MUNICIPAL JUDGE TO THE MUNICIPAL
COURT OF RECORD OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ
WHEREAS, Chapter 12 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Schertz, Texas
(the "City") has recently been amended to establish, effective as of January 1, 2005, a
Municipal Court of Record in the City (the "Court of Record"); and
WHEREAS, Section 12-3 of the Code of Ordinances requires the City Council of
the City to appoint a municipal judge of the Court of Record for a term of two (2) years;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS
THAT:
SECTION 1. Stacy Padgett is hereby appointed as the municipal judge of the Court of
Record in the City for a term cO!fiP1encing January 1, 2005 and ending December 31,
2006, with an annual salary of$ .5's J 000 .
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in force and effect from and after its final
passage, and it is so resolved.
