REGULAR MEETING
January 31, 2011
A Special Council meeting was held by the Schertz City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas,
on January 31, 2011, at 11:30 a.m., in the Schertz Civic Center, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Building
5, Schertz, Texas. The following members present to-wit:

CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL MEETING
Mayor Baldwin called the Special Council meeting to order at 12:02 p.m., members present
introduced themselves.
Vice Chair Ernest Evans and Commissioner, Ken Greenwald called the Planning & Zoning
meeting to order at 12:05 p.m.
President of the Economic Development Corporation, Harry Whitney called the EDC meeting to
order at 12:0b p.m.
1. Cancellation of the February 1, 2011 Council Meeting -Consideration andlor action
cancelling the February 1, 2011 regular council meeting. (D. Harris}
Mayor Baldwin recognized Councilmember Fowler who moved, seconded by
Councilmember Antuna to cancel the February 1, 2011 regular council meeting. Yote
was unanimous. Motion Carried.

2. Discussion regarding a planning and design Charrette on the northern part of Schertz,
especially the area from FM 3009 to Friesenhahn Road, and I-3S to FM 2252
(Nacogdoches Road). (D. Harris/Scott Palikav)
Council, Planning and Zoning Commission and Economic Development Corporation
members were briefed by Gateway Planning representative Scott Polikov regarding the
North Schertz Planning Project.
Council Members and respective Board members expressed their thoughts, opinions and
ideas for the North Schertz area and the upcoming Planning Charette.
AD30URNMENT
As there was no further action, Mayor Baldwin adjourned the meeting at 1:11 p.m.
Vice-Chair Ernest Evans, Planning and Zoning Commission adjourned the Planning & Zoning
joint meeting at 1:12 p.m.
