RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS, APPROVING AND CONSENTING TO
WATER SUPPLY CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
SCHERTZ/SEGUIN LOCAL GOVERNMENT CORPORA-
TION AND THE CITY OF SELMA AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF THE CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY OF SCHERTZ.
WHEREAS, the board of directors of the Schertz/Seguin Local Government
Corporation has approved water supply contracts with Springs Hill Water Supply
Corporation, the City of Universal City, and the City of Selma, subject to approval
of the contracts by the City of Seguin and the City of Schertz; and
WHEREAS, approval of the water supply contracts and consent to such
contracts by the City of Schertz is required by the contract between the
Corporation and the City of Schertz and because the Schertz distribution system
will be used to deliver the water to Universal City and Selma; and
WHEREAS, the terms of the contracts are fair and reasonable and in the best
interest of the City of Schertz.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The water supply contract between the Schertz/Seguin Local Government
Corporation and the City of Selma is approved and accepted.
2. The city manager is authorized and directed to sign the contract on behalf
of the City of Schertz and to take the actions required of the City of
Schertz to perform its obligations under the contract.
