RESOLUTION
TO INSTALL A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT FM3009AT DIETZ
ROAD/LIVE OAK ROAD.
WHEREAS, a traffic engineering investigation has been conducted at the
intersection of FM 3009 and Dietz I Live Oak Road to determine if a
traffic signal is recommended; and
WHEREAS, due to the proximity of three schools and the high number of children
driven through this intersection, plus two new churches building in the
same vicinity, an additional need for a controlled intersection becomes
apparent; and
WHEREAS, the traffic volume on a mayor street is so heavy that traffic on the
minor intersections streets suffers excessive delay or hazard in
entering or crossing the major street;
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE KNOWN, that the Schertz City Council of Schertz,
Texas hereby expresses its strong support that a traffic signal should
be installed at the intersection FM 3009 and Dietz Road/Live Oak
