AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS
PROVIDING THAT THE UDC, CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS BE
AMENDED BY REVISING ARTICLE XI, PLATTING, SECTION
20.17, STREET IMPROVEMENTS; SECTION 20.20, CURB,
GUTTER AND SIDEWALKS; SECTION 31.4, SIDEWALKS-
LOCATION AND WIDTH; AND SECTION 33, ACKNOWL-
EDGEMENTS AND CERTIFICATES. PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE; AND PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT, Article XI, Platting, Section 20.17, Street Improvements,
Schertz, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows'

"XI 20.17 Street Improvements
All street improvemems shall meet the current requirements of the Comprehensive Plan
and this Article, but in no case shall be less than the following:

Islands in Roadways
Islands in road right-of-ways will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The street right-
of-way will be engineered to accommodate all emergency and utility vehicles, after
coordination by City Staff, to include a review and recommendation from the City of
Schertz Transportation Advisory Committee.
Cul-de-Sacs
Cul-de-sacs shall have a minimum diameter of one hundred feet (100').
That Article XI, Platting, Section 20.20, Curb, Gutter and Sidewalks, of the UDC, City of
Schertz, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows:
XI 20.20 Curb, Gutter and Sidewalks
Shall be installed by the subdivider on both sides of all adjoining streets forming part of
the boundary of the subdivision. All lots must front upon concrete sidewalks, which shall
be at least five feet (5;) in width. All comer lots shall have such sidewalks on both the
front and side thereof. (See Public Works Specifications Manual.)
That Article XI, Platting, Section 31.4, Sidewalks- Location and Width, of the UDC,
City of Schertz, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows:
XI 31.4, Sidewalks - Location and Width
Where sidewalks are required, they shall be installed one foot (1') inside the right-of-
way, and shall be a minimum of five feet (5') wide. Sidewalks shall be placed parallel to
the street for the entire frontage(s) of the lot. (See Public Works Specifications Manual.)
That Article XI, Platting, Section 33, Acknowledgements and Certificates, of the UDC,
City of Schertz, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows:
Add CCMA Coordination Statement as follows:
This subdivision plat of the (Subdivision Name and Unit # Inserted) has been submitted
to and approved by Cibolo Creek Municipal Authority for sewer service availability.
Agent for Cibolo Creek Municipal Authority"

THAT this Ordinance shall be effective from and after its final passage and any
publication required by the City of Schertz.
III
THAT all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
