A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS
AUTHORIZING THE CALLING OF TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR THE
CONTEMPLATED ANNEXATION OF GUADCO MUNICIPAL UTILITY
DISTRICT NO.2, WIDCH IS GENERALLY KNOWN AS PART OF THE
SCENIC IDLLS SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz (the "City") desires to annex GUADCO
Municipal Utility District No.2 (the "District"); and
WHEREAS, Chapter 43 of the Texas Local Government Code, as amended (the "Act"), provides
that, before the City annexes the District, the City Council of the City must conduct two public hearings
(i) for which notice must be given as required by the Act and (ii) at which people interested in the
annexation are given the opportunity to be heard; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby schedules a public hearing for 8:00 p.m., October 16,
2001, to be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz,
Texas to obtain the views of the public concerning the proposed annexation of the District as described in
attached Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby schedules a second public hearing for 8:00 p.m.,
November 6, 2001, to be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex, 1400 Schertz
Parkway, Schertz, Texas to obtain the views of the public concerning the proposed annexation of the
District as described in attached Exhibit A.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes its City Secretary to arrange for the required
publication of notice for each of the public hearings in the official newspaper for the City of Schertz,
Texas regarding the proposed annexation of the District for the purpose of complying with the Act.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect and be in full force immediately upon its adoption.

310.3344 acres of land out of the Rafael Garza Survey No. 98 and the J. F. Zepeda Survey
No. 257 located in both Cornal and Guadalupe Counties, Texas and also out of the Pedro San
Miguel Survey No. 256 and the James W. Gray Survey No. 255 located in Guadalupe County,
Texas, said tract being a part of a 171.719 acre tract described in Vol. 480 page 287 of the
Guadalupe County Deed Records and a part of a 453.754 acre tract described in Vol. 485 page
529 of the Guadalupe County Deed Records and No. 132860 of the Comal County Deed
Records, said 310.3344 acre tract being described as follows:
Beginning at an iron pin marking the lower east comer of said 171 .719 acre tract;
Thence S 59038' W along the lower S.E. boundary of said 171.719 acre tract a distance of
1594.77 ft. to an iron pin marking the lower south comer of said 171.719 acre tract;
Thence N 30013'15" W along the lower S.W. line of said 171.719 acre tract a distance of717.50
ft. to a comer of same;
Thence S 64051 '45" W a distance of 11.02 ft. to a comer of said 171.719 acre tract;
