2001R30- GUADCO MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO.I RESOLUTION 01 - R - 30 A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CALLING OF TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR THE CONTEMPLATED ANNEXATION OF GUADCO MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO.1, wmCH IS GENERALLY KNOWN AS THE NORTHCLIFFE SUBDIVISION AND PART OF THE SCENIC mLLS SUBDIVISION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz (the "City") desires to annex GUADCO Municipal Utility District No.1 (the "District"); and WHEREAS, Chapter 43 of the Texas Local Government Code, as amended (the "Act"), provides that, before the City annexes the District, the City Council of the City must conduct two public hearings (i) for which notice must be given as required by the Act and (ii) at which people interested in the annexation are given the opportunity to be heard; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Council hereby schedules a public hearing for 7:00 p.m., October 16, 2001, to be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz, Texas to obtain the views of the public concerning the proposed annexation of the District as described in attached Exhibit A. SECTION 2. The City Council hereby schedules a second public hearing for 7:00 p.m., November 6, 2001, to be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz, Texas to obtain the views of the public concerning the proposed annexation of the District as described in attached Exhibit A. SECTION 3. The City Council hereby authorizes its City Secretary to arrange for the required publication of notice for each of the public hearings in the official newspaper for the City of Schertz, Texas regarding the proposed annexation of the District for the purpose of complying with the Act. SECTION 4.
