A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS TO
AUTHORIZE THE FILING OF AN APPLICTION BY THE SCHERTZ
PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR A GRANT TO PURCHASE ADDITIONAL
COMPUTERS,
WHEREAS, the Schertz Library is serving a growing population; and
WHEREAS, computer use and especially internet use, are increasingly in
demand by library users; and
WHEREAS, the library's mission is to serve the community as a center of
reliable information and provide opportunity and encouragement for people of all
ages to educate themselves continually.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT, the Schertz City Council approves the application of a
Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund Grant in the amount of $33,370.00 by
the Schertz Public Library.
