AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS BE AMENDED BY REVISING
SECTION 86-149, PARKING PROHIBITED; PROVIDING A
REPEALING CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS:
SECTION I
THAT, Chapter 86 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Schertz, Texas is hereby
amended as follows:
"SECTION 86-149, Parking Prohibited (a) When signs are erected and/or, when
recommended by the City Engineer or the Chief of Police, curb(s) are marked by
painting them red with "No Parking" painted in white letters thereon, giving
notice thereof, no person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the
following streets or portions thereof"
SECTION II
THAT, all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
THAT, pwsuant to Section 4.09(e) of the City Charter, by vote of not less than two-thirds
of the members of the City Council present at the meeting at which this Ordinance was first
considered, the City Council has determined that an emergency exists which requires immediate
action, and this Ordinance is hereby adopted on a single reading, and this Ordinance shall be
effective upon the date hereof and any publication required by law.
