I. 12702 Toepperwein Rd.. Suite 112 · Live Oak, Texas 78233 · (210) 590-2037 February 8, 1999 Mr. Hal Baldwin Mayor, City of Schertz P.O. Drawer 1 Schertz, TX 78154 Dear Mr. Baldwin, As you know the Randolph Metrocom Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the Metrocom cities, has been diligently working to secure a commitment from the Alamo Community College District to locate a full-service campus in the northeast section of San Antonio. In addition, the Northeast Partnership, under the chairmanship of Mayor Wes Becken of Universal City, has also lent its support towards this effort. We are now at a critical juncture! ACCD is currently undertaking a serious look at various sites for a new campus. Some members of the ACCD Board of Trustees have provided a positive endorsement for this new campus. And the strong show of support that came at the December luncheon has also helped move the decision to this point. However, we now need the personal endorsement and support from each city. Towards that end, Mr. Ray Thomas, Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee for the Procurement of the College, and myself are requesting that each city, at its next council meeting, prepare a proclamation or written letter of endorsement. It is only through such written documents and, I might add, personal appearances at the monthly meeting of the ACCD Board of Trustees that we can accomplish this task. TimiD!!: is critical! Now is the time to act! I know that we can count on your continued support to help us achieve the end goal of the location of the Alamo Community College District campus in the Metrocom area. Please call me if you have any questions. Sincerely, ~eY'CAE Executive Director ) J,~ I' " .,' "; ,.,,,-, l/\ >7 Lf)"/' . ;' 'v~,,(../ ,// u ,/ "II ;,../ , !. ! it .,... , .' X.." .J' gr.
