2005R23- CITY MANAGER, PIP PROGRAM RESOLUTION NO, 05-R-23 A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACT FOR THE CITY IN DEALING WITH LCRA FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE PIP PROGRAM KNOW BY ALL PRESENT that on this 20th day of December 2005, the City Council of City of Schertz, Texas met in regular session at the City of Schertz Council Chambers with the following members present: Council Member Council Member Council Member Council Member Council Member Douqlas Aqee Wi] enchi k Carpenter And at said meeting, among other business, the Council considered the following: WHEREAS, Partnership in Parks (pIP) is a Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) program that provides funding for political subdivisions in LCRA's service area for local parks and recreation projects; and WHEREAS, the City if fully eligible to receive assistance under the PIP programs; and WHEREAS, the City is desirous of authorizing an official to represent and act for the City in dealing with LCRA concerning the program; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS: Section I: Section 2: Section 3: Section 4: The City hereby certifies that it is eligible to receive assistance under the PIP program, The City hereby certifies that the matching share for this application will be recommended for the City budget for the fiscal year in which it will be required, The City hereby authorizes and directs its City Manager (or his designee) to act for the City in dealing with the LCRA for the purpose of the PIP Program and the City Manager (or his designee) is hereby officially designated as the representative in the regard, The City hereby specifically authorizes the official to make application to LCRA concerning the site to be known as Northcliffe Community Park in the City of Schertz for use as a park site, INTRODUCED, READ AND PASSED, by that affirmati voted of the City Council on this 20th day of December 2005, Hal Baldwin, Mayor ATTEST:
