RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS
AUTHORIZING THE DEPOSITORY SIGNATORIES FOR THE CITY'S TEXAS
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM BLOCK GRANT, DISASTER RECOVERY
INITIATIVE FUNDS, FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE PALMS APARTMENTS IN THE
CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS has
accepted a grant from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs
(TDHCA) to acquire the Palms Apartments, 0.254 acres, 100 % FM 78 in the City
of Schertz, Texas, this grant will provide improved living environment in the area
of the Buffalo Subdivision and allow for the removal of flood damaged
apartments from the 1 DO-year flood zone of the Cibolo Creek; and
WHEREAS, it is a requirement of the TDHCA that signatories be
designatedlauthorized by the City Council for signing of documents relating to the
disbursement of funds under this program;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
That the City Council directs and designates the City Manager, Assistant City
Manager, and City Secretary as the Signatories for completing the Request for
Payment.
