CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
RESCINDING THE REQUEST FROM THE CITY OF
TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF BYPASS 538 AROUND
WHEREAS, various feasibility studies and evaluations
by TXDoT have determined proposed Loop 538 is no longer
desirable; and
WHEREAS, TXDoT has asked that the original request be
rescinded, enabling them to close the file on this formerly
proposed roadway;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT, the City Council of the City strongly supports
rescinding the request for development of Bypass Loop 538
as a step forward in allowing TXDoT to update their Project
Development Plan, including the upgrading of FM 78.
