1993R10- TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM PROJECTS , ,. RESOLUTION NO. 7'<:-P-/0 - , A RESOLUTION FORMALLY SUBMITTING PROJECTS TO THE METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (MPO) FOR INCLUSION IN THE FY 1995-97 TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP) PROJECTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas has determined that Schertz is anticipating changes in population and traffic patterns; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires assistance in the long-range planning for traffic management and improvements in the City of Schertz; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS: THAT the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas urges the Metropolitan Planning Organization to include the following requests in the MPO FY 1995-97 Transportation Improvement Program Projects: A. FM 78 - widen and improve from 0.4 miles east of SH 218 to FM 3009 - arterial approximately 1.9 miles (including engineering and survey) - $4,733,300. B. Alternate bridge and low-water crossing of Cibolo Creek as an alternate route ,connecting Aviation, FM 78 and FM 1518 - arterial, new facility, minimum two (2) lanes - approximately 500 linear feet estimated cost (including engineering and survey) - $1,300,000. C. Lower Seguin Road - segment one (1) from Loop 1604 to FM 1518 drainage structures- miles (including survey) - $1,200,000. - widen, improve, approximately 1.75 engineering and D. Woodland Oaks Drive from Cotton King to FM 1518 to segment #1 - Woodland Oaks Drive from existing bridge to Schertz Parkway arterial, new facility, four (4) lanes, 650 linear feet - estimated cost (including engineering and survey) - $106,392. .- . . E. Doerr Lane from Missouri-Kansas-Texas railroad to FM 2252 - arterial, widen existing two (2) lanes, 4,200 linear feet total cost (including engineering and survey) - $193,000. THAT projects stated above are listed in priority order, beginning with item A and proceeding to item E. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the has determined responsibility for costs.
