A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS CHANGING THE NAME OF JACK
HAYS BOULEVARD TO ROY RICHARD DRIVE
WHEREAS, Roy W. Richard Sr. served as Mayor of the City of
Schertz, Texas, from 1960 to 1972: and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to honor Dr. Roy W.
Richard for his dedication to and support of the
City of Schertz: and
WHEREAS, letters were sent to all property owners
and public hearings have been held to
citizens the opportunity to express their
regarding the name change: NOW THEREFORE

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS:
THAT the name of Jack Hays Boulevard from Farm to
Market 78 to Interstate Highway 35 is hereby changed to "ROY
RICHARD DRIVE".
