A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS CASTING VOTES TO ELECT DIRECTORS FOR
THE COMAL COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT FOR THE 2012-2013
TERM.
WHEREAS, section 6.03(k), of the Texas Property Tax Code, as amended by HB2043,
requires that each taxing unit entitled to vote cast their votes by Resolution and submit results of
that vote to the Chief Appraiser of the Corral County Appraisal District on or before December
15, 2011.
THEREFORE, THE City of Schertz, Schertz Texas submits the attached Official Ballot,
as issued by the Chief Appraiser, stating the votes for candidates far the election of the Board of
Directors for the Comal County Appraisal District for 2012-2013: 7 votes for each candidate as
follows:
7 - Gary Boldt
7 - James Bowers
7 - Craig HaII
7 - Dan Krueger
7 - Scott Watson
Tatal Votes 35
ACTION TAKEN this 6t~' day of December 2011, in Regular Session of the governing
body of the above mentioned taxing unit; as authorized under Section 6.03 of the Texas Property
Tax Code, and amended by HB2043, for the purpose of casting votes to elect the Board of
Directors of the Comal County Appraisal District.

Enclosed is the 2012-2013 Board of Directors ballot for the city of Schertz. Asper Section
6.03(d) of the Texas Properly Tax Code, "votingentitlement is determined by dividing the total
dolIac amount of property taxes imposed in the district by the taxing unit for the preceding tax
year by the sum of the total dollar amount of property faxes imposed in the district for that year
by each taxing unit that is entitled to vote, by multiplying the quotient by 1,000 and by rounding
the product to the nearest whole number."
Also, Section 6.03 {k) of the Texas Property Tex Code requires that each taxing unit entitled to
vote cast their vote by Resolution and submit results of that vote to the Chief Appraiser of the
Comal Appraisal District by December 15, 20;11.
In calculating this year's votes, it is determined that the city of Schertz has 35 votes to cast in
this election.
