AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING
THE TECHNOS CORPORTATION
REINVESTMENT ZONE 3.
WHEREAS, Section 312 of the
creation of Reinvestment Zones; and,
Texas Property Tax Code allows the
WHEREAS, the property owned by Technos Corporation is described as
Lot 5, Block 1, Vestal Subdivison (2.02 acres), located in Guadalupe County.
WHEREAS, it is the belief of the City Council that by establishing the
Technos Corporation Reinvestment Zone 3, it is reasonably likely to contribute
to the retention or expansion of primary employment or to attract major
investment in the zone that would benefit the property and would contribute to
the economic development of the property; and,
WHEREAS, it has been the stated policy of this Council to support and
promote the economic development of this community; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held to receive public comment on 6
March 2001; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT, City Council of the City of Schertz hereby establishes the Technos
Corporation Reinvestment Zone 3 under the provisions of Section 312 of the
Texas Property Tax Code.
Approved on first reading the 6th day of March 2001.
