The Schertz Planning and Zoning Commission convened on September 12, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. at the
Municipal Complex, Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway Building #4, Schertz, Texas.

Mr. Evans called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

Consider and act upon a request for approval of a final plat and vacation of a 16? sanitary sewer
easement for the Misty Woods Subdivision of 12.15 acres, located on Schertz Parkway approximately
770 feet north of Live Oak Road.
moved to approve the consent items as presented. Mr. Dahle seconded the motion.

Vote was 4-0-1 with Mr. Evans abstaining. Motion carried.

Ms. Sanchez stated that City Council did approve the 2012/13 budget the previous night,
with no cuts to any training opportunities for the Commission for next year.

Ms. Sanchez reminded everyone that the Volunteer Fair is September 17
8:00 PM. The P&Z Commissioners who have signed up to attend are Mr. Richmond, Mr.
Crawford, Mr. Braud, Mr. Greenwald and Mr. Dahle.

Ms. Sanchez stated that the next P&Z meeting will be September 26 and as part of ongoing
training we will be discussing rough porportionality, which is in the UDC and Ms. Sanchez
will not be at that meeting because she will be on vacation.

Ms. Sanchez noted that Schertzfest is September 28 and September 29.

Ms. Nichols stated that one site plan was received on Monday, September 10
agenda being sent out to the Commission.
Mr. Evans reminded the Commission that they are scheduled for APA Conference on

October 3.
Ms. Sanchez also stated that there was an inquiry regarding the Merritt Lakeside access and it
has been confirmed by both checking the plans and by a site visit that the access from FM
3009 is designed the way it was approved as an entrance only. There was no decel lane
required by TXDOT.
