AN ORillNANCE OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS AMENillNG SECTION roUR~EN
(14) OF ORDINANCE NO. 81 OF THE SAID CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, AND
TITLED: AN ORDINANCE GOVERNING THE CITY WATER liORKS SYSTEM OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A WATER WORKS SUPERINTENDlliT;
PROVIDING FOR CONNECTIONS TO WATER MAINS; REGULATING THE USE OF WATER
FROM THE CITY WATER WORKS; PRCVIDING FOR SERVICE THRCUGH METERS; PRE-
SCRIBING RATES, PENALTIES AND DECLARING AN EMERGIDWY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
1. SECTION FOU'l.TEEN (14): METER CONNECTION CHAflGES AND METER
INST~U.LATION AND REPAIR shall herea1'ter and said section is hereby
amended to read as 1'ollows:
SECTION FOURTEEN (14): METER CONNECTION CHARGES AND METER IN-
STALLATION AND REPAIR.
(a) Whenever a prospective user of water from the city of Schertz
wishes to connect to the city water system such user of water shall
pay the city of Schertz, Texas a connection charge, which shall consist
01' the cost of all materials and labor used in connection with such
connection and placing the water meter box plus 10%. This charge
shan apply to all meter connections irrespective 01' the size of the
meter. The water meters installed shall be as prescribed by city
speci1'ications.
(g) erne City of Schertz, Texas will keep in repair all meters
free of cost.
2. This ordinance shall be cumulative 01' all other Ordinances
of the City of Schertz relative to the same subject matter, except
where there is an irreconcilable conflict between this ordinance and
any other ordinance heretofore passed, then the former ordinance shall
be repealed to the extent of the confiict.
