RESOLUTION NO. 75-R-4
A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITY
COUNCIL OF THE RANDOLPH SUBREGION IN ITS
REQUEST TO BE INCLUDED IN THE SAN ANTONIO
208 PLANNING AREA.
WHEREAS, the Community Council of the Randolph Subregion,
in the interest of water quality, has requested the Texas
Water Quality Board to include the Randolph area in Plan-
ning Area 4 designated as the San Antonio Area;
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz, as a member of the Community
Council, participates in and supports its activities;
WHEREAS, it has proven to be an effective coordinating
body;
WHEREAS, Federal 208 funds provides planning resources
to alleviate severe water quality problems, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the City of Schertz supports the request
of the Community Council and urges that the Texas Water
Quality Board give it favorable consideration; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That the City of Schertz will continue its
joint efforts with the other affected communities within
the overall area to develop a plan to produce a coordinated
water quality management system for the area and to imple-
ment the plan when it has been mutually adopted by the
City of Schertz and the State of Texas.
