AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ELECTRICAL CODE, CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS;
That the Electrical Code of the City of Schertz, Texas, be and is hereby
amended so that same does and shall hereafter read:
IV. Licensin~ of Electricians:
Subsection (g) An initial license fee of $35.00 shall be paid to the City
Secretary. Each year thereafter on or before the 10th day of January, each licensee
shall pay to the City Secretary an annual license fee in the amount of $15.00.
Failure to pay the annual license renewal fee before due date shal automatically suspend
the license. Payment of the annual license fee, plus a 10% penalty shall remove such
suspension.
VII. Inspection Fees:
Subsection (a) At the time any permit is issued for a job which will be inspected
by the City's Electrical Inspector, the City Secretary shall first be paid an inspection
fee, according to the following schedule:
Minimum Permit Fee - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - $ 5.00
Apartment Unit (new)- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
8.00
Single Family Residence (new)- - 12.00
Commercial (new, less than 2,500 sq. ft.)- 25.00
Commercial (new, 2,500-6,000 sq. ft.)- - - - 40.00
Commercial (new, 6,000-20,000 sq. ft.)- - - - - - - - 60.00
Commercial (new, over 20,000 sq. ft.)- - - - - - - - 100.00
X. Repeal of Conflicting Ordinances:
a. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.

ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR:
The attached amendment of the Electrical Ordinance prescribes
new fees for licensing and inspection fees effective June 30, 1972.
