A RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE REGION 4 EDUCATION
SERVICE CENTER, WHICH SPONSORS THE COOPERATIVE
PURCHASING NETWORK (TCPN), PROVIDING FOR A COOPERATIVE
PURCHASING PROGRAM FOR GOODS AND SERVICES;
DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE AS OFFICIAL
REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ RELATING TO THE
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz (the "City) desires to participate
in the purchasing program (the "Program") established by the Region 4 Education Service
Center, which sponsors The Cooperative Purchasing Network (the "TCPN"); and,
WHEREAS, Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code, as amended
(the "Provision"), provides that in order for the City to participate in the Program, the City
must enter into an agreement with TCPN that meets the requirements of such Section
271.102 (b); NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the City to enter into the attached
Inter-Local Agreement with TCPN to participate in the Program on a voluntary basis.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby designates the City Manager or his designee
to act on behalf of the City in all matters relating to TCPN.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect and be in full force immediately
upon its adoption.
