RESOLUTION NO. 06- R- 21
RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MANAGER TO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT THE REGIONAL WATER ALLIANCE AND TO
ADMINISTER ON OF THE AND APPOINTING
SAM WILLOUGHBY AS CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE ALLIANCE
COUNCIL OF REPRESENTATIVES.
WHEREAS, the Regional Water Alliance (the Alliance) has been proposed as a means of helping
member entities such .as municipalities, special districts, water supply corporations and other agencies
to collaborate on meeting their respective water supply needs; and
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz Public Works Department has taken an active role in formulation of
the proposed Interlocal Agreement that would implement the Alliance; and
WHEREAS, entities desiring to become a member of the Alliance have been asked to have their
respective governing bodies take official action to authorize the entities' participation in the Alliance;
now therefore,
BE RESOVLEDBY
COUNCIL OF
OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of the City the Interlocal
Agreement, attached as Exhibit 1, which establish the City of Schertz as a member of the Regional
Water Alliance; and,
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to administer the Interlocal Agreement on behalf of the
City; and
Sam Willoughby, Director of Public Works of the City of Schertz, is hereby designated as the
City's representative to the Alliance Council of Representatives; and,
THAT, the City Manager is hereby authorized to pay an annual membership fee as may be established
by the Alliance Council for the purpose of funding the administrative operation of the Alliance.
