CALL TO ORDER:
HEARING OF RESIDENTS
This time is reserved for any person who wishes to address the Library Advisory Board. Presentations should be
limited to no more than 5 minutes. Each person who wishes to speak should sign in on the Speaker’s register prior
to the meeting. The Board can only discuss items that are on the agenda. Discussion by the Board of any item not
on the agenda shall be limited to statements of specific factual information given in response to any inquiry, a
recitation of existing policy in response to an inquiry, and/or a proposal to place the item on a future agenda. The
presiding officer, during the Hearing of Residents portion of the agenda, will call on those persons who have signed
up to speak in the order they have registered.
REGULAR AGENDA
1. Minutes - Consideration and/or action regarding the approval of the minutes of January 6,
2013
2. Treasurer’s Report – Consideration and/or action approving the December 2013
Treasurer’s Report
3. Librarians’ Report – Librarian will report on the following items:
• December 2013 Library usage statistics
• General operation of library during previous month
4. Bookstore Report – Report on the following items:
• General operation of the bookstore during previous month
DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION
5. Update on LAB By-Laws—Discussion and possible action the on recently revised by-
laws which created the new Book Store Manager position and the election of someone to fill that
position.
6. Revision of Library Meeting Room Policy—Discussion and possible action on the
Library’s meeting room policy revision.
7. Discussion on February 10th Semi-Annual Meeting of City Board, Commission &
Committee Chairpersons—Discussion on what to include on summary. Sonia Samora will
attend the meeting as the representative of the Library Board and will give a summary of the
Library Board’s work and areas of concern. Input is needed from the Board on what to include
in the summary.
