ORDINANCE NO. g J- -r -/7
AN ORDINANCE
APPOINTING A BOARD OF EQUALIZATION FOR THE CITY
OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, AND FIXING THE TIME FOR THE
MEETING OF SUCH BOARD, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, in
the exercise of it's decretion. has determined that the best interests
of the City of Schertz will be served by appointing three (3) commissioners,
each a qualified voter, a resident, and property owner of the City of Schertz
Texas, to act as the Board of Equalization of said City; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:

THAT Richard M. Mansfield
John B. McClure
Roman Froboese
AND
each of whom is aqualified voter, resident and property owner of the City of
Schertz, Texas, be and they are hereby appointed Commissioners to act as the
Board of Equalization of said City.

The Board of Equal i zati on of sa i d City sha 11 meet and convene
on the 5th day of June , 1981,
at 9:00 o'clock A.M. to receive the
assessment lists and books of the Assessor of the City for examination,
correction, equalization, appraisement, and approval and shall remain in
session from day to day and from time to time until adjourned by proper
order of said Board.

The public importance and Charter requirements of this measure
constitutes and creates an urgent public necessity requiring that this
ordinance be passed and take effect as an emergency measure, and shall take
effect and be in force immediately upon and after its passage.
