AN ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 78-F-7 BY ADDING A WATER MAIN EXTENSION POLICY
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, that

Ordinance No. 78-F-7 is hereby amended by adding Section 16 A which
shall read as follows:
" 16 A Main Extension
The cost of main extensions will be prorated to property
owners who will benefit from such extension on a per front
foot basis. The per front foot cost will be applied to the
front footage of the lot to which water service is desired.
The cost will be based upon construction cost at the time
of connection and shall be due at the time connection is
made. II

The public importance of this measure constitutes and creates an
urgent public necessity requiring that this ordinance be passed and take
effect as an emergency measure, and shall take effect and be in force
immediately upon and after its passage.
