CALL TO ORDER:
HEARING OF RESIDENTS
This time is reserved for any person who wishes to address the Library Advisory Board. Presentations should be limited to no more than 5 minutes.
The Board can only discuss items that are on the agenda. Discussion by the Board of any item not on the agenda shall be limited to statements
of specific factual information given in response to any inquiry, a recitation of existing policy in response to an inquiry, and/or a proposal to place
the item on a future agenda.
REGULAR AGENDA
1. Minutes - Consideration and/or action regarding the approval of the minutes of March 7, 2016
2. Treasurer’s Report – Consideration and/or action approving the February 2016 Treasurer’s Report
3. Librarians’ Report – Librarian will report on the following items:
• February 2016 Library usage statistics
• Library operation and items of interest
4. Bookstore Report – Bookstore Manager will report on the following items:
• General operation of the bookstore during previous month
• Discussion on revisions (if any) to bookstore policy
5. Committee Update – Howson Lau
DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION
6. LAB Investment Account—Follow-up discussion by Asst. Finance Director, James Walters, on LAB
investment and operating accounts. Discussion and possible action on options and moving money from one
account to another.
7. Library Foundation—Presentation on Library Foundation’s mini golf fundraiser.
8. Summer Reading Club—Discussion and possible action on funding upcoming summer reading club
program and summer interns.
9. Staff/Volunteer Appreciation—Discussion and possible action on providing some sort of
appreciation/acknowledgement to staff and/or volunteers.
10. Coffee Service—Discussion and possible action on implementing coffee sales at the library.
