CALL TO ORDER:
HEARING OF RESIDENTS
This time is reserved for any person who wishes to address the Library Advisory Board. Presentations should be limited to no more than 5 minutes.
The Board can only discuss items that are on the agenda. Discussion by the Board of any item not on the agenda shall be limited to statements
of specific factual information given in response to any inquiry, a recitation of existing policy in response to an inquiry, and/or a proposal to place
the item on a future agenda.
REGULAR AGENDA
1. Minutes - Consideration and/or action regarding the approval of the minutes of April 4, 2016
2. Treasurer’s Report – Consideration and/or action approving the March 2016 Treasurer’s Report
3. Librarians’ Report – Librarian will report on the following items:
• March 2016 Library usage statistics
• Library operation and items of interest
4. Bookstore Report – Bookstore Manager will report on the following items:
• General operation of the bookstore during previous month
• Discussion on revisions (if any) to bookstore policy
5. Committee Update – No update but need to choose a new representative because of Howson’s resignation
DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION
6. City of Schertz Strategic Plan—Overview of the 2016 strategic plan adopted by City Council.
7. Purchase of Library Materials—Discussion and possible action regarding the purchase of replacement
materials (because of weeding projects) and the purchase of e-books and e-audio books.
8. Coffee Service—Discussion and possible action on implementing coffee sales at the library.
9. Sign Post—Discussion and possible action on ordering sign post sculpture for courtyard area.
