Review input from the Main Street Community Input Meeting and discuss direction moving forward. (B. James) Chair Davis recognized Acting City Manager Brian James who said the new bar on Main Street had a soft opening this past Friday. The owner still has just a few things to get done first before he gets his permanent certificate of occupancy from the city. Staff got GVEC to add some lights to some of the street poles on Main Street that didn't have any —the city will pay for that. He recommended if anyone goes down there in the evenings, let him know what that feels like, with the new lighting. A few other items the bar owner is having issues with: a wooden pole in the middle of a shared drive, a curb in a right of way that needs repair, and the pronounced presence of police in the area. So far there have not been any major parking or noise complaints. Mr. James stated the next update will be when they hear from the design team which will hopefully be in about a month. 8 -14 -2018 Minutes Page - t - ADJOURNMENT: Chair Davis recognized Councilmember Edwards who made a motion to adjourn.
