AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION
OF CERTAIN BOUNDARY LINES OF THE CITY OF
SELMA, TEXAS, AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN
TERRITORY CONSISTING OF AN AREA ADJACENT AND
CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
SELMA, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
HEREIN BY METES AND BOUNDS AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SUCH ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Selma,
Texas:
SECTION I. It is hereby ordained by the Board of Aldermen
of the City of Selma, Texas, that upon passage
of this ordinance, that land, territory, and
area described in Exhibit "A- 1974," attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is
hereby added and annexed to the City of Selma,
Texas, and said land, territory, and area as
described shall hereafter be included within the
boundary limits of the City of Selma, Texas,
and the present boundary limits of the City of
Selma, Texas, at the various points contiguous
to the area described in Exhibit "A- 1974" are
hereby altered and amended to include said area
within the corporate limits of the City of Selma,
Texas.
SECTION II. The territory, land, and area so described and
so annexed shall be part of the City of Selma,
Texas, and the land and property so annexed and
the inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all
of the rights and privileges of all the citizens
of Selma, Texas, and shall be bound by the acts,
ordinances, resolutions and regurations of the
City of Selma, Texas, t
SECTION III.This annexation shall become effective immediately
upon passage of this ordinance by the Board of
Aldermen of the City of Selma, Texas.
