AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS ESTABLISHING THE TRI- COUNTY BUSINESS
CAMPUS (SCHERTZ) LLC REINVESTMENT ZONE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, Section 312 of the Texas Property Tax Code allows the creation of
Reinvestment Zones; and
WHEREAS, the property (hereinafter called the "Property ") is owned by Tri-
County Business Campus ( Schertz), LLC, described as a 16.370 acre tract of land
situated in the Toribio Herrera Survey in the Tri- County Development Park, Schertz,
Texas, Comal County and
WHEREAS, it is the belief of the City Council that by establishing the Tri- County
Business Campus ( Schertz), LLC Reinvestment Zone, it is reasonably likely to contribute
to the retention or expansion of primary employment or to attract major investment in the
zone that would benefit the property and would contribute to the economic development
of the property; and,
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held to receive public comments on August 17,
2004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT, the City Council of the City of Schertz hereby establishes the Tri- County
Business Campus ( Schertz), LLC Reinvestment Zone under the provisions of Section 312
of the Texas Property Tax Code.
Approved on first reading the / %'day of 2004.
