Welcome /Overview
Dr. Browne welcomed everyone and provided an overview of todays events. Power Point
presentations focused on three areas: Parks, Streets and Facilities. In each of these areas (which were
designated to received maintenance dollars in the last budget due to the tax increase) staff showed
council what has been done this year in response to the extra money and what remains to be done.
The focus was to get direction from council on how to proceed with the entire budget, particularly
with respect to the tax rate. The ongoing in position is to "stay the course" or to keep the tax rate near
the current rate due to the continued backlog of maintenance issues.
