The Schertz Board of Adjustment convened on February 4, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. at the Municipal
Complex, Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway Building #4, Schertz, Texas.

Mr. Reynolds called the regular meeting to order at 6:01 P.M. and recognized members
present.
2. Seat Alternate to Act if Required:
Mr. Haynes was seated as an alternate.
3. Consent Agenda:
A. Minutes for the October 22, 2018 Regular Meeting.
Mrs. Agee moved to approve the October 22, 2018 regular meeting. Mr. McElroy
seconded the motion. The vote was 4 -0. Motion carried.

4. Public Hearing:
A. BOA2018 -009
A request for a variance to UDC Sec. 21.9.8.B Fences in Nonresidential and Multifamily
Areas, 2. Fence Materials, b. Prohibited Materials to allow the installation of an electric
security fence, located at 17454 Campus Drive, City of Schertz, Comal County, Texas.
Public Hearing was opened at 6:08 P.M.
Mike Pate- Electric Guard Dog LLC- The applicant spoke at the public hearing.
Public Hearing was closed at 6:11 P.M.
There was a brief Discussion.
Mrs. Agee moved to deny the BOA2018 -009. Mr. McElroy seconded the motion. The
vote was 4 -0. The variance request was denied.
