A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS CASTING VOTES TO ELECT DIRECTORS FOR
THE BEXAR COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT FOR THE 2020 -2021
TERM.
WHEREAS, section 6.03(k), of the Texas Property Tax Code, requires that each taxing
unit entitled to vote cast their votes by Resolution and submit results of that vote to the Chief
Appraiser of the Bexar County Appraisal District on or before December 15, 2019.
THEREFORE, THE City of Schertz, Schertz Texas submits the attached Official Ballot,
as issued by the Chief Appraiser, stating the votes for candidates for the election of the Board of
Directors for the Bexar County Appraisal District for 2020 -2021.
ACTION TAKEN this 126 day of November 2019, in Regular Session of the governing
body of the above mentioned taxing unit; as authorized under Section 6.03(k) of the Texas
Property Tax Code, for the purpose of casting votes to elect the Board of Directors of the Bexar
County Appraisal District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, this 12th day of Novembef, 2019.

RE: Voting Phase of Selection Process for Election of Bexar Appraisal District Board of
Directors for 2020 -2021
The Honorable Mayor Carpenter:
Nominations for the Bexar Appraisal District Board of Directors 2020 -2021 terms have been
submitted; thank you to those who participated in this process. As required by Section 6.03(k),
Texas Tax Code, eligible taxing units may now cast votes for the nominees. Enclosed is a copy
of the voting entitlement of each taxing unit and a ballot listing all persons nominated by the
taxing units in alphabetical order. Mr. Keith Hughey has respectfully declined to be on the ballot
however he thanks you for your nomination.
Each taxing unit authorized to vote may do so by resolution of its governing bod, . Per Section
6.03(k), Texas Tax Code, "The governing body, of each taxing unit entitled to vote shall
determine its vote by resolution and submit it to the Chief Appraiser before December
15." To ensure your votes are counted, both the resolution and ballot must be submitted to the
Chief Appraiser before December 15.
The results of this election will be delivered to each taxing unit by December 31. If you have any
