Minutes: Consideration andlor action regarding the approval of the minutes of the 61312019 meeting. - Ruth Tienor moved to accept the 6/3/2019 minutes as presented. - Joanne Ward seconded the motion. - Motion carried. The June 3, 2019 minutes were accepted as presented. 2. Treasurer's Report: Consideration andlor action regarding the approval of the April 2019 Treasurer's Report. Patti Paulson moved to accept the 5/ and 6/2019 Treasurer's Reports as presented. Carol Cyr seconded the motion. The motion carried. The May and June Treasurer's Reports were accepted as presented. XgML�i�ff Caira Spenrath has joined the library in a part-time position. The library is now fully staffed. Caira has lots of experience in library work. Library operations and other items of interest - The City budget process is not yet complete. The City is currently presenting the proposed budget at different sites around town. The tax rate will remain as is with discussions on allocation ongoing. The overall goal is to stay the course with work on streets, buildings, and parks. Every few years, the City of Schertz conducts a customer satisfaction survey about its departments. In the latest survey, the Library had t highest rate of customer satisfactionH Congratulations to all staff an I volunteers. - The window tinting has been completed and the staff has already notic a change in glare issues. i - The Schertz Parks and Recreation division has been putting out a "Fun Guide." Schertz Public Affairs is working on including the Library in this "Fun Guide." Mock ups are being worked on with a fall theme. - There will be a short story workshop on 8/27 and then a hiatus until the fall. This activity is Tuesday at 6:30. - ESL classes will be introduced 9/4 and will be followed by a 6 week class. Melissa said that census taker training and appointment scheduling would probably be held at the library. With many of the censuses bein able to be done online, this will help and the library staff will be I availab to assist with customers needing help with online completion.
